Terms of Service

The terms for playing and publishing on Prism.

Last updated October 5, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name], a Nevada company ("Prism", "we"), about using Prism: its website, its desktop app, and the games, mods, communities and other features you reach through them. By making an account or using Prism, you agree to them. If you upload games, mods or mashups, the Creator Terms apply too. How Prism handles your personal data is in the Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 to make an account, or older where the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to the use of your personal data. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms with you, and is responsible for your use of Prism.
  • Give true details, keep one account for yourself, and keep access to it safe: your email, passkeys and sign-in providers. You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once at support@prism.games if you think someone else got in.
  • Your account is yours alone: you may not sell, share or transfer it.

2. Using Prism

Prism gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Prism and its desktop app for your own enjoyment, as these terms allow. You may not:

  • break Prism's rules: no spam or scams, harassment, hate, sexual content outside games marked for adults, violence or encouraging self-harm, impersonation, malware, misleading games, someone else's work, or anything illegal;
  • get around Prism's limits, security, blocks or reviews, or reach parts of Prism you weren't given access to;
  • scrape Prism, flood it with automated requests, or interfere with it working for others;
  • copy, sell or resell Prism or anything on it except as these terms or a game's own license allow; or
  • reverse engineer the desktop app except as the law allows despite this term.

3. Games, mods and mashups

Games on Prism are made by their creators, not by Prism, unless the store page says otherwise. Each game's creator is responsible for it, and a game may come with its own license, which applies alongside these terms. Prism reviews games before they go live, but can't promise any game works on your device, is free of mistakes, or stays available.

Mods and mashups change or combine games you get elsewhere. You need your own copy of each game they use, from its own store, under that store's and game's terms. Prism's desktop app can find games other stores installed on your device and hand them to those stores' own apps to install or launch; those games, stores and apps are theirs, not Prism's, and Prism isn't responsible for them. A mod may break a game or a save, so keep backups, and don't use mods where a game's terms forbid them.

4. What you post

You keep ownership of what you post on Prism: comments, messages, profile details, community posts, reports and feedback. You give Prism a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display and deliver it, and to adapt it to the way Prism shows things, for as long as it's on Prism and as needed to run and improve Prism; and you let other people see and use it as the feature you posted it through allows. Feedback you send, Prism may use without owing you anything. Everything you post must follow Prism's rules, and you're responsible for it.

5. Moderation, notices and appeals

Anyone signed in can report a game, a profile, a message or a comment, and Prism's staff review reports against Prism's rules, with tools that help them find what breaks them. When staff take something down, limit it, reset a profile, or suspend an account, Prism tells whoever it concerns what was decided, which rule it applied, and how to appeal, in Prism and by email; and tells whoever reported it what came of it. You can appeal a decision from its notice within six months; a person who wasn't part of the first decision reviews the appeal. Where the law gives you the right, you can also take a decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to court.

Prism may suspend, for a reasonable time and after a warning, anyone who often posts what's clearly illegal or often sends reports that are clearly unfounded. Reports of copyright infringement follow the Copyright Policy.

6. How Prism picks what you see

Home, Explore and For you show games Prism picks for you. The main things Prism weighs are what you and people like you play, like, follow, add to your library, and skip or mark "Not interested", and how long you look at a game; and, for everyone, how popular and new a game is. Prism tries different ways of picking on groups of people to learn which work better. Searching, a game's page and your library show what you asked for, not picks. Deleting your activity history from your account page clears what Prism learned from what you looked at and played.

Prism's games are free today. When paid games and Prism Points arrive, their terms, including prices, refunds and your right to withdraw from a purchase where the law gives it, will be added here and shown to you before you buy anything.

8. Ending

You can stop using Prism at any time, and ask us to delete your account at support@prism.games. Prism may suspend or end your account, or your access to part of Prism, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or Prism's rules, if the law requires it, or to protect players, creators or Prism; it tells you why and how to appeal, unless the law or safety forbids that. Prism may change or stop features, and will give reasonable notice before stopping the service as a whole.

9. Prism as it is

Prism works hard to keep Prism running and safe, but provides it "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, Prism makes no promises beyond those in these terms, including any implied promise that Prism or a game is fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, Prism isn't liable for indirect, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or saves, and Prism's total liability to you for any claim about Prism is limited to the greater of what you paid Prism in the twelve months before the claim and US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives consumers the protection of their own law and courts, you keep that protection.

[For counsel: how disputes are settled, such as the courts of a Nevada county or individual arbitration with an opt-out, and any class action waiver.] Before bringing a claim, please write to legal@prism.games so we can try to settle it first.

11. Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. Prism tells you about a change that matters to you, by email or in Prism, at least 30 days before it applies, unless the law or a safety problem needs it sooner. If you keep using Prism after a change applies, the new terms apply to you; if you don't agree, you can stop using Prism and have your account deleted. A change never applies to a dispute that began before it.

12. General

These terms, with the Creator Terms, the Copyright Policy and the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Prism about Prism. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Prism not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms; Prism may transfer them to a company that takes over Prism, which keeps your rights under them.
